So here is a few things that I’ve discovered about myself since I last posted:

    1) Monday, January 26th to Friday, January 30th, could easily be the busiest week of my senior year. AP Government finals every day this week, Newspaper deadline all week, Pre-cal final tomorrow, Japanese oral final tomorrow, web design project due by Friday, Japanese cultural project due by Friday, newspaper portfolio due Friday, community service paperwork due Friday, and to top it all off, there are only 11 days left until solo/ensemble contest. Uhmm, yeah. Only taking one AP class this year definitely does not mean that my senior year will be any easier.

    2) I’ve officially started paying for college. (Or my parents have anyways…) I sent in $250 acceptance fee to Western Washington University. :giggle: It felt weird declining University of Oregon and Central Wash. University… I can’t believe that its all said and done now. I’m going to be a Viking! Again… because my high school mascot is also a viking.

    3) I am in love with Animal Crossing: City Folk. Like seriously. In. Love. I’m working on the fanlisting for it… and I’d have to admit, its taking quite a while. Damn you, high school. Speaking of fanlistings I have like a million I need to get done including We the Kings, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide and Idiocracy. (My all-time favorite movie.)

    4) My layout is ugly. I’m getting sick of pink, but I’m at a complete lack of creativity. Ugh.

    5) I really want an iPhone. My best friend got one for Christmas and I’ve wanted one ever since. Unfortunately I still have over a year left with Verizon. Yuck. :x: And I don’t really want a Dare. I feel bad for my poor Voyager though. Its not like its a bad phone… its just not as cool. Sorry, LG.

    6) I’m obsessed with Coach. I went to a Coach factory store and I swear, I had died and gone to heaven. I bought really cute sunglasses for $70. Next on my list: SHOES. But…. considering that I’m broke as heck I should probably stop there.

    7) Another thing I’m obsessed with? bareMinerals. That stuff is freaking amazing! I bought the starter pack thing over the weekend and it has worked really well. Its so light compared to the thick, oily liquid foundation from Clinique that I used before. Definitely, definitely recommended.

    8) Sushi with a smiling face is kawaii to the max. Check out these super-cute stuffed California roll plush dolls that I ordered from sushishirtsXD.com!

If you likey than please go check out the shop, there is so much cute stuff!

    9) I should really be working on homework right now… :yuck:

    Apple Jacks, meet my mouth.

I’m officially addicted to Apple Jacks. They are so delicious! I was craving them over the last couple days and so I finally bought a box on Saturday. I’ve been eating like two bowls a day ever since. Another food I’m addicted to now: Cinnamon Buns ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s. It sounds weird… but it is really good! Its like Cinnabon in a cold, creamy form. It even has little pieces of cinnamon roll bun in it! These two foods are definitely recommended.

I started adding movies to my 200 movies in 2009 list! I saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, it was pretty good… but a little boring. But maybe that’s because I saw the movie at 10 PM after staying up until 3:30AM the night before watching Sex and the City. I also watched Yes Man, with Jim Carrey. It was surprisingly funny! (Jim Carrey movies can swing either way for me.) I also watched the old movie, Airplane! Highly recommended. Even though it was made before I was born, it was probably one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. Although, if you can’t enjoy the stupid humor of movies like the Scary Movie franchise… you may not laugh as hard as I did.

I suppose I really don’t have much to write about at the moment other than my current likes and dislikes… haha.

Also, the icon for this post really has nothing to do with anything… other than its funny. And I like things that are funny.

    Ho ho hopefully…

    ho-ho-hopefully

Another Christmas has come and gone. Its weird to think that next year I’ll have to come home for the holidays… hm. That will definitely be a change. My Christmas went very well. I was really relieved that my dad liked the Blu-Ray player my brother and I got him. He tends to be out of the technology loop so I was worried he wouldn’t like it. (Last year we got him a DVR but ended up returning it because he didn’t understand how to use it.) I thought it was a fitting gift… since he has had this HUGE high-def television for over a year but no DVDs in high def. My gifts to my brother and my mom were also successful… but they are much easier to shop for.

As for me, I got a bunch of nifty things. Including this really cool wooden display case with a glass window to display the beginning of my pin collection. I’m not quite sure what to do with it now that I’ve put all my pins in it. So right now it is sitting on my desk behind my computer. It’s sort of heavy… so I’m a bit nervous about trying to hang it up. I also got two new Wii games. Animal Crossing: City Folk and Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility. I’ve really enjoyed them both. Animal Crossing has a lot of great new features and I’m really addicted to the plot of this Harvest Moon game.

And of course my Christmas money is already burning a hole in my pocket so I spent a good deal of it today. I bought 3 new CDs. I got the new Fall Out Boy album and There for Tomorrow. I haven’t listened to either yet because I’ve totally been addicted to the new Britney Spears album. I know its really random but I am just absolutely in love with it. And I’m pretty sure the last CD I bought of hers was Oops I Did it Again. When was that…? Like 2000? I was only in sixth grade! Its amazing… ha. That’s about all I have to say.

Speaking of music… I’m super, super, super stoked for this year’s AP Tour. It will be 3OH!3, The Maine, A Rocket to the Moon, Family Force 5, and Hit the Lights. Mainly, I’m excited for The Maine. (Ha… how punny…) They are sort my obsession right now. I’ve seen them twice already… but, I swear, they get better every time! AND, AND, AND, they are going to be on Warped Tour this year! I have never been before, so knowing that The Maine will be there only adds to my excitement. :yay:

UPDATE: So as I’ve been writing this I’ve been sampling different songs on the There for Tomorrow and Fall Out Boy CD’s and I’m satisfied thus far.

Uhm… anyways that’s about all I have to write about at the moment. Thanks for all the lovely comments on my very first post. I can’t wait to return them!

    Here goes nothing…

    here-goes-nothing

I am pretty much finished with the much-needed renovations to my site. I hope that by doing all this work, I will be inspired to blog more. One thing that I am awfully excited about is the little icon in the corner. I love livejournal icons… so I really just wanted to be able to feature different ones that I find that either: fit the theme of the blog or are just really cute/funny.

I feel so much more relaxed now that school is out for two weeks. We even got a couple extra days tacked on because of all the snow. It was a nice surprise. :giggle: It has been fun for me to just be able to sit down with my laptop and do work that I actually WANT to do.

Another good thing? I finally made my decision about college. Next year I’ll be attending Western Washington University. It feels like a huge load has been taken off my chest now. And its weird to think that I am FINALLY, after eighteen years, going to college. I also feel relieved because I know they have a great Japanese program and I’ll even be able to be a part of a program that lets me room with a Japanese exchange student for the year. Oh man, graduation just never comes fast enough. :hmpf:

I suppose, though, I shouldn’t get so caught up with things in June when December has proven to be busy enough. I haven’t even finished my Christmas shopping yet. This year I asked mainly for scrapbooking stuff. I really want to put together a huge scrapbook of memories from high school before I graduate. As much as I hate high school, I’m sure that in the future I’ll be able to say that I’ve had some of the best friends and the best memories there.

I’ve also decided to use my website as a way to keep track of things I’ve done. The one I’m most excited about is my 200 Movies in 2009 goal. I started to realize how many movies I watch and so now I want to try and keep track of them all. And at this point, I can’t honestly tell if its a feasible goal… since I’ve never attempted it before. I’m also keeping a list of all the concerts I’ve been to throughout the years. My list is rather small since my parents didn’t let me go to any until I was in high school. My goal is 100 (with no time limit).
